Rick you have to remember that Amma, if she Omniscient like many

believe her to be, could've, would've, should've warned people about

him before it supposedly went this far. There were some Sai

devotees that had private audiences with Amma back 20 years ago, and

she never hinted at any such behavior, and what was said was in fact

just the opposite about Sai.

 

It's possible your friends were abused by him, I'm certainly open to

it happening. But it's so remote (statistically speaking) that if it

did happen it wasn't a weakness on Sai's part, but part of the karmic

drama-leela. It was meant to happen, as cold as that sounds. Sort

of like the disappointment and disillusionment that happens among Amma

devotees. Like those going into marriage never imagine a divorce

happening, but it does. Things are meant to shock us into waking up

sometimes. When Nealu asked to see Amma's real form, she said he

had to look beyond her bodily form. Maybe Sai was just souring the

milk to wean them off idol worship? (no sick joke was intended)

 

There's huge differences in Sai versus Amma. I don't recall there's

a fee for staying at Sai's ashram is there? Compared to Amma's?

At Sai meetings, you're not even allowed to discuss money matters

during the main bhajan/satsang, and not even in the same room where

satsang is held. No fundraising efforts are allowed period. There's

a clear difference between the Sai

atmosphere and Amma's charity bazaar. The main turn-off for

Westerner's is that Sai's 'scene' is strongly Hindu based.
