Guest guest Posted November 28, 2007 Report Share Posted November 28, 2007 Amma's sari was very beautiful blue -- a Turquoise / Teal shade with hints of Sky, that reminded me very much of pure blue water, or the Universal Mother. (A bit like the " Keep Tahoe Blue " bumpersticker so many motor cars sport in that ironic contrast between pollution of the north American holy lake and our petrol fumes.) When she stood up at the end, the shapes of the gold filigree on the skirt looked like a mermaid's tail, or fish scales. It is exquisite! She stood for a very long time, gentle, staying a bit longer upon the entreaties of some devotees. The emotions yesterday felt different to me... perhaps that " moon in Cancer " gentleness of the deepest ocean. Also, Several of the many brides (7? 8?) also wore a similar shade wedding cloth.
