Amma's sari was very beautiful blue -- a Turquoise / Teal shade with hints

of Sky, that reminded me very much of pure blue water, or the Universal

Mother.

(A bit like the " Keep Tahoe Blue " bumpersticker so many motor cars sport in

that ironic contrast between pollution of the north American holy lake and

our petrol fumes.)

When she stood up at the end, the shapes of the gold filigree on the skirt

looked like a mermaid's tail, or fish scales. It is exquisite!

She stood for a very long time, gentle, staying a bit longer upon the

entreaties of some devotees. The emotions yesterday felt different to me...

perhaps that " moon in Cancer " gentleness of the deepest ocean.

Also, Several of the many brides (7? 8?) also wore a similar shade wedding

cloth. And there is apparently a baby boom in the community, given the

number of feedings!

with affection,

Prashanti
