Guest guest
A good reminder Amarnath. There are so many ways to help. My Mother and i have been making homemade scarves throughout the year for the homeless for years now. When we sit down at night, we pick up a loom or a crochet hook! I also have a little personal seva i call the " Santa Project " where i buy good toys for children on sale year round whenever i see them and bring them to the local shelter between Thanksgiving and Christmas, along with the scarves, and any coats i can collect from my family and friends. This year i have 2 nice afghans too. The woman in charge of the food pantry at the shelter told me this time of year they really appreciate any foods or canned goods with protein/meat in them. What she sees over and over again is, the head of the household (usually a woman) will try to make Christmas nice for her children by buying them toys, and then there is no money left for food. What a shame.... So on the list this year is little canned hams, hash, beef stew, canned tuna, etc...Anyone can do this, and with very little money. What a difference it would make if everyone did just one nice thing for someone else....
