I found the Swami P quote I was looking for back in the early summer,

when the topic of Amma and the hotel picketers was going on. It

addresses the idea of why Amma doesn't answer questions and such, as a

means of Grace for reducing the ego.

The tape conversions seem to be going well, though taking a bit longer

than I thought, due to the inconsistencies of the tapes.

Alot have an imbalance between the left right channels, so I mixed it

down to mono/joint. For most of them I used Compression, after

raising the volume, to get a steady volume level. So it sounds more

like the lame books-on-tape audio, but easier to listen to than the

original tapes. Most of the hiss is gone too, along with the coughs

and clicks that were isolated enough to take out. If MAC produces

CD's, some volumes will have to be on 2 discs because the overall time

exceeded 80 minutes for CD-recordables.
