Samsarasaram bhujagendraharam

Sadavasamtam hrdayaravinde

Bhavam bhavanisahitam namami

 

Pure white like camphor, compassion( or kindness ) incarnate,

The essence of existence, whose necklace is the king of serpents,

Always dwelling in the lotus of my heart,

To Siva and Shakti( or your Guru/Amma ), I bow down

 

there is a very mellow traditional melody that goes with it;

but for fun, you may want to try singing it to the tune of :

 

Amazing grace—how sweet the sound—

That saved a wretch like me!

I once was lost, but now am found—

Was blind, but now I see.
