Guest guest
Call it sheer grace or dumb luck. I was taking a break from the Swami tape conversions and perusing my collection of old videos. Turns out I had a copy of the old Devi Bhava footage, but since mine's a copy, the special VCR I have wasn't able to correct the shakes. Plus, I had to increase the brightness significantly just to see anything at all. Add in YT's compression and things aren't that clear. The copy i have wasn't very clear to begin with. The quality is inconsistent throughout the footage. I left out about 10-15 minutes of Amma just standing there to the music, as it was at the end and Swamiji was chanting a really boring song. This was obviously pre-Amma Amma Taye tradition days, and pre- " cycling of the crowd " for flowers. This is back when they actually had oil lamps for the Devi Puja, and when they used the seed mantras (ie Om Sreem Hreem Paraa Saktyai Namaha). On the last vid (7/7) you can see Amma doing puja to the seat and crown to invoke the goddess. Still, there's footage of apparently 2 separate Devi Puja's/Devi Bhava's. A couple of the vids are short. The second set is most likely Barbara C's house, but could've been Kit's farm. Someone from back then would need to tell us. One devotee had told me that Amma's first stop to the DC area back then was indeed at a Baltimore location. At least the audio is clear. I'll try to get the tape I made my copy from before making the DVD's, so that hopefully it'll turn out a little clearer. I separated the puja vids from the Bhava vids for when Amma's Legal Eagles tell me to take them down. So get'em while they're hot. http://youtube.com/zatarraseagull tom
Guest guest
ONS Tom, Thanks so much for all of the great work you are doing. I went into your archive and had a chance to view some of the material on St. Terese as well as the St. Luke's production company. It seems you are following their " greater vision " and mission statement by sharing with others your love and inspiration in the divine. Love and Peace, Stacee --- tom <tomgull wrote: > Call it sheer grace or dumb luck.
