Amartya Sen is an Indian economist, philosopher, and a winner of the

Nobel Prize for Economics in 1998, for his contributions to welfare

economics, and now is Lamont University Professor at Harvard University.

 

Robert Rubin served as the 70th United States Secretary of the

Treasury during both the first and second Clinton Administration. He

is currently on the board of directors for the New York Stock

Exchange, Ford and about 15 other firms. He is also Chairman of the

Executive Committee, Citigroup, one of the largest banks in the world.

 

Dr. Muhammad Yunus: is a Bangladeshi banker and economist. Yunus is

also the founder of Grameen Bank. In 2006, Yunus and the bank were

jointly awarded the Nobel Peace Prize,

 

 

Dr. Jane Goodall travels an average 300 days per year, speaking about

the threats facing chimpanzees, other environmental crises, and her

reasons for hope that humankind will solve the problems it has imposed

on the earth.

 

Dr. Jim Yong Kim, Professor at Harvard Medical School, chief of the

Division of Social Medicine and Health Inequalities, and in 2006, Time

magazine's 100 most influential people in the world. He has tackled

and solved most of the very difficult problems with infectious

diseases, including Tuberculosis. He also was named one of 25 US Best

leaders by the magazine U.S. News and World Report.

 

Peter Sands was appointed Group Chief Executive of Standard Chartered

Bank.

 

John Catsimatidis is a business tycoon in the areas of oil, real

estate, and aviation. His company, the Red Apple Group ranked 84th on

Forbes list of largest private companies with revenue of $3.3 billion

and 7800 employees.

 

Fisher is an American women's retail clothing designer. Her

clothing is known for simplicity. Begun in 1984, the company now

consists of 25 retail stores in the USA.

 

Dikembe Mutombo, is a basketball superstar. He is generally regarded

as one of the greatest shot blockers and defensive players of all

time. He is 7' 2? and weighs 260 pounds.

 

Reverend Jesse Jackson, During the 1980s, he achieved wide fame as an

African American leader and as a politician, as well as becoming a

well-known spokesman for civil rights issues. According to an AP-AOL

black voices poll in Feb 2006, Jackson was voted " the most important

black leader " in the world.

 

Ann Veneman, Executive Director UNICEF, United Nations. Ann M. Veneman

assumed the leadership of UNICEF on May 1, 2005.

 

Allan Rosenfield, M.D., F.A.C.O.G., Professor of Public Health and

Ob/Gyn and Dean School of Public Health, Columbia University.
