I'd prefer the direct quote that Rick's referring to, Amarnath.

Besides, you're not clarifying the difference between having the

attitude or mindset of a beginner, versus actually being a beginner or

acting like one. Same difference between being " like a child " in

one's innocence or attitude, versus becoming or acting like a child

(childish).

 

Too often I see devotees act like a child expecting others to take

care of them. This is usually done by other irritated devotees,

pushed into the role of parent. Same thing with a beginner. If one

stays a beginner, then they're not humble, they're just ignorant.
