Guest guest
Om Namah Shivaya, all, I have posted a prayer list in the Files section of this group. Since it has been some time and there may be new members interested in joining the prayers, I would like to invite anyone who feels so moved, to share how they pray for the list. In the past, I believe prayers were to take place on Sundays (and any other day of the week people wanted to pray for the list). I'm sure that there are many different ways in which everyone undertakes this prayer seva, according to what works for them. Just as an example, when I have prayed for the list in the past, I have done something like this: - light lamps and incense at my altar - chant Om 3 times and the Dhyana Sloka - pray to Amma that I want to dedicate the fruits of the chanting I will do, to the benefit of the following - and then silently read each name or wish out in turn, asking Her grace to be with all of them - chant the 108 names of Amma and, if there is time, the Lalita Sahasranamavali - or, if time is limited, I may simply chant " lokah samastah sukhino bhavantu " for 10 minutes - chant closing prayers (asatoma satgamaya, lokah samastah, sarvesam svastirbhavatu, purnamada purnamidam, om shanti) Please share what you do! And in the meantime, please feel free to keep sending names for next week's prayer list, which I will post next Friday evening. Guest guest
OM NAMAH SIVAYA Pranada thanks for your efforts of putting this prayer list together again. your way of doing this prayer seva sounds very efficient and complete. i usually like to send my intentions for the benefit of the list by using the Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra, Lord Siva's healing Mantra. i am sure most here already know the Mantra but below is a link with audio as to its pronunciation and a version of Its translation for anyone interested. http://www.eaglespace.com/spirit/mahamantra.php thanks again for helping provide all with this blessed opportunity.
