Guest guest
Namah Sivaya, Does anyone know the name of the bhajan that, in fact, Swamiji sang at the beginning of Albuquerque Devi Bhava. It's a rather slow, stirring balad and is not listed in the bhajan books under " radheshyam " and I'm trying to find it. Sita
Guest guest
ONS It seems there may be a new CD out. I have noticed a similar song playing during the morning public programs and have not had a chance to go to the music stall to see what new goodies are available. Guest guest
Om Namah Shivaya, I wasn't in New Mexico so I am not sure which song you are talking about and it may be on a new CD. There are a number of Radhe Syam (notice spelling) songs in Volumes 1, 2, 3. I wish during the programs they would put the Song Name, Bhajan Volume and Page Number so I can so the song lyrics and corresponding CD. A slow Syam song that I like is " Me Khadi " Volume 5 page 114 the chorus is " je syam na aya koyi pe gam avega " it is in the Sindhi Bhajans CD. Guest guest
Namah Sivaya Thanks. Unfortunately, it's an older one and I need very much to find the lyrics and translation. As I said, it's slow and stirring in almost ballad form and the chorus goes, " Radhe Shyam, Ohhh, Radhe shyam....... " . Thanks again, Sita Ammachi , " Lynn Williams " <lynnjan wrote: > > Om Namah Shivaya, > > I wasn't in New Mexico so I am not sure which song you are talking about and it may be on > a new CD. Guest guest
There is one in the 2007 Supplement that has a " chorus " of " OOOh Shyam tu aja " but it isn't really all slow and ballad-like. I belive the bhajan you are looking for is called Asu Bhare. It's in Vol. 4 of Bhajanamritam pg 31 and recorded in Amritanjali 53. Asu bhare nayanom se puche Radha Syam se Radhe Syam o,,,,,Radhe Syam kyo ham ko chod gaye With tear filled eyes, Radha asks Sri Krishna " Oh Radhe Syam, why did You leave us and go away? " Kucha kehakar nahi gaye na sandesa vo de gaye mudkar bhi na dekh gaye Rahe Syam O.....Radhe Syam He left without saying a word Neither did he leave us a message of consolation Nor did He look back even once Alas, we have become orphans without him. Sapna he sach nahi kanha itne kator nahi kehata he man ye mera yaha kahi vo chip gaye Radhe Syam O....Radhe Syam This is just a dream; it cannot be true Krishna is not stonhearted to this extent My mind tells me that surely Sri Krishna must be hiding somewhere nearby Tu na aya to sunale syam asuvan ki jamuna bahegi dubegi ye vrndavan radha phir kabhi nahi milegi rahe syam o.....radhe syam If you will not return Oh Lord My tears will flow like the river Yamuna and the whole of Vrindavan will be submerged in the river of grief Then, you will never again see your beloved Radha Tuje meri kasam ajavo syam ham par dhodi daya karo prana natha tum hi ho sahara ham par dhodi krpa karo Please promise me O Lord that you will come Please show a little compassion. You alone are our support in this life Shower at least a little of Your grace upon us. > > > > > > > Namah Sivaya, > > > > > > > > Does anyone know the name of the bhajan that, in > > > > fact, Swamiji sang at > > > > the beginning of Albuquerque Devi Bhava. Guest guest
Yes, indeed that is the one!...called Asu Bhare and was difficult to find but somehow, yesterday, mysteriously I, too, came across it. Thank you for printing it here. I hope it wasn't too much work for you!
