Guest guest
ONS Thorzhan, I understand you are looking for feedback. Mary Ann posed the question regarding " why " there was a pole created for this topic. My suggestion is to joyously focus on your spiritual practices, and allow the grace of God to take you through these various stages. There is no need to choose one, as you are entitled to receiving all that grace has to offer. Why limit yourself? God wants us to be happy Love and Peace, S --- thozhan29 <thozhan29 wrote: > Kind attn: MR. Guest guest
dear beloved brothers and sisters.each time we breathe we are blessed by AMMAs supreme gift of LIFE.sometimes this child has forgotten how precious it is just to be able to breathe is.just to have a heart beat is oh so sacred and precious. AMMAs grace is all around us in so many different forms.even to be able to complain, or disagree is a gift from HER.none of it is ours.it all belongs to AMMA. in the midst of our exchange of energy ,which is good,we should not loose focus on how fortunate we are to be able to exchange this energy as a family.we are ALL linced together by HER love.AMMAs sun bows to all of you as you are all precious and beloved forms of HER... let us also do our best to check in with our hearts and remember all of those children of this world who are lost, lonely, afraid, abandoned, homeless, hungry etc.may we all hold a place in our hearts for them.that them could be you, or right inside of your household. Guest guest
Dear Ananth, ONS, You should feel welcomed on this forum to ask your questions and to initiate spiritual dialog with your brothers and sisters who are traveling the path of the heart, like yourself. Sometimes we need the mirror and the feedback of another in order to get a glimpse of where we currently are in our own journey. I try to do this directly with the Divine as much as possible, but there have been many times that I have received valuable insight within conversation from others who are walking the spiritual path as well. Sometimes this information will come as a direct answer to our questions...and other times, as in the case with Ammachi...it might come in a sliver of information...that can appear from almost anywhere.... Amma likes to see if we are really paying attention.............. Your poll has brought forth response. Love and Peace, S > some may think , sharing thougts on spiritual is > good, and knows about other amma's children is > useful to know thoughts of their brothers and > sisters... in this case group moderators and members > are to appreciated who make it possible a free > discussion ... > > kind attn moderators: I am happy you give place > for opposite views.....as amma's children, we have > maturity to learn from opposite views.... > > > >
Guest guest
Jai: There is one answer the individual putting up the poll did not include: Nothing! If you choose any of the given answers, you are doing Spiritual Practices .... WITH A MOTIVE. Not the best way to do it. You might get limited gains, but they will be limited. The better attitude in doing practices is to have no motive for any gain whatsoever. Only them will great gains be realized. It's very similar to doing good deeds towards others in order to get " into heaven " or " be self realized " or " be enlightened " . You will not make it. You are doing good deeds for something you want for your self. It is the ultimate act of selfishness. Your good deeds will benefit others but they are a wasted effort for your self. If you must have a motive, then do good deeds towards others so they will get " into heaven " . Guest guest
Namah Shivaya, I don't think it is correct to believe that spiritual practice serves no purpose. Perhaps it is correct in saying we should not want for ourselves but only to serve the world as Amma teaches. However, Amma has told us that spiritual practice does serve a real, tangible purpose-that of finding our real source of bliss and pure love. However, our desire to attain this will also benefit all around us like a ripple that continues to expand into the universe. Doing our practice with pure devotion and faith with no expectation and having full trust that our guru will provide all that we need. " Thy will be done. " Surrending our will as instruments to our guru with full trust that everything we need, every experience we have is a part of our spiritual growth. in Amma, adriane Ammachi , KandarW wrote: > > Jai: > > There is one answer the individual putting up the poll did not include: > > Nothing! > > If you choose any of the given answers, you are doing Spiritual Practices > ... Guest guest
This distinction between " spiritual " and " non-spiritual " is very complicated. When we observe the universe, where does the spiritual end and the non-spiritual begin? How does something classified as a " spiritual practice " and something else as a " non-spiritual practice? Guest guest
Ha as Mark Twain said that the difference in a word is seen in lightning versus lightning bug....hence in discussing spiritual " practice " as in disciplined activity..and then the design of the universe is yet another idea. As far as the universe and spirituality.. the entire universe is God's design-the energy of God is imbued in all of creation. Guest guest
and perhaps it is best to say it is all a spiritual life. Everything is spiritual in some way. I recall Amma talking about car accidents and how it is to remind everyone watching that we are all mortal and the impermanance of this world. She said it was a reminder call to wake us up. Guest guest
This was my exact thought process last night when I decided to play Puzzle Quest for an hour instead of meditating! When we observe the universe, where does the spiritual end and the non-spiritual begin? How does something classified as a " spiritual practice " and something else as a " non-spiritual practice? Guest guest
In this game, I find that we look for causality. Someone gets " enlightened " and we try to understand how. We think that if we can only replicate what he did, we can also get the goal. And if the person meditated for 10 years, we say assign the causality to that and say " he meditated for ten years, therefore he got enlightened, and so I must do that too. " But he might have done other things for ten years. He might have popped a multivitamin pill every day for ten years. Or drunk soy milk every day for ten years. Or played the Puzzle Quest every day for ten years. But somehow those do not figure in our causal equation. But who knows what really causes anything? I have tried to understand this without success.
