Guest guest
" In the beginning, the Guru will tell the disciple, who is a practitioner, " The world is an illusion. Rejecting it, become established in the Self " . This is to speed up the sadhana. But at last, when he reaches Realization, he will understand that this whole world is part of God. Then there will be nothing to reject. Everything will be only to love and serve. " - Vol. 1 p54 Similarly, Amma and the Sages also recommend to reject the world, body, mind and ego. Reject does not mean going to the Himalayas; it means how we look at it. Amma talks about witnessing and observing thoughts, etc. So, we simply look at world, body, mind and ego as a movie, a play, an illusion, not our True Self. In this movie, our body-mind-ego is merely an actor. This, along with other spiritual practices, is to break our strong identification with body, mind, ego, world which absorb and limit our awareness to a small area of mistakes, pain and suffering. Then, once we know our true identity as Self-God-Awareness, then everything else simply appears within the Unbounded Awareness which we are. " That " I " which fills the whole universe is the real " I " . When the awareness that " I am not the body, I am the Self " awakens, we will understand that nothing is different from Brahman( The Absolute ). At that time, we will know through experience that everything is " I " alone. " - Vol. 1 p55 Amma Bless, amarnath
