Guest guest
Namah Shivaya, I wanted to share our new addition to our family with everyone. He is a beautiful little kitten that is playful, curious and so funny. We have named him Nandi after Shiva's Divine bull for a few reasons: 1) He is all cream colored with black ears (horns) and tail. 2) He's a boy - the masculine bull, or energy. 3) Nandi is a such a cute name! It means the joyful or compassionate one. But most of all I am very touched by the story I read once about a temple in India. It is a Shiva temple with four doors on each side, in the day they keep the doors open, at each door looking toward Shiva are his companions, at one of those doors is Nandi, he gazes at his Beloved Shiva with most loving look. At night they close the doors but Nandi looks through the doors as if they never were, even through rain Nandi is ever gazing at his Lord Shiva Divine face.... I love the devotion in this story.. I have attached some photo's of our new addition.. Jai Ma! Robin PS - Its been TEN YEARS since I have had any pets - I feel like such a beginner!
