Guest guest
Namah Shivaya. Dear Adriane and all: It's been almost 2 months since Amma left for North India tour. The bhajans were getting so sad every evening. Amma sent the rain to cool us off on Easter. Rain to here is like spring to the northlands there. And we expect Her to return tomorrow. I can't believe how much lighter all the residents and renunciates are behaving. Vipin and i have finally met by Amma's grace, and I am finding him to be very helpful and kind. And finally 2 more bird stories: Someone said the crows represent Saturn, so if Saturn in your chart gives you a hard time (in this child's case, sun squared saturn, and my husband has moon squared saturn. Now you know why it was inevitable that we partner since his moon is on my sun--enough of the pop astrology). So i decided to do it. The crows really plague people in the dining area of the western canteen, so i knew better than to do it there. Why encourage them when they are always swooping in and grabbing unsuspecting newcomer's food left unattended even for a few seconds or even covered. They are good at getting the covers off. So i decided to do it from our 6th floor balcony and i started with a little egg omelet cuz i knew that would delight them. Sure enough, it was a crow party! So i do it occasionally. The other day we were walking across the bridge from the college side (a loooooong way from our balcony) when this crow came and perched next to me and kept moving up as i climbed the steps. Can't be sure, but sure did seem like it recognized me and was checking to see if i had more for it. A crow is also perching within arm's length of me on the balcony railing in the early morning when i meditate. Next story is even better: I sat with a friend at lunch one day in the canteen area. She had put some rice in the lid of her tiffen and it was sitting in the middle of the table. She offered it to me. For some reason i didn't quite understand, i chose to take the loose rice and leave a ball of it in the middle of the lid. We continued to visit. Suddenly an eagle swooped in between us and scooped up the ball of rice. Please bear in mind the rice is not the favorite of either eagles or crows. And only because it was in a ball could the eagle grab it. Well, that was dramatic enough, but then my friend told me that she was facing a rather perplexing issue regarding something Amma had told her to do. She wasn't sure what to do, so that morning she had asked Amma to send a bird to answer her question. We plan to be in US visiting family and expect to be at some of the ABQ program, all of the Chicago program and much of the NYC program. Am totally thrilled to hear about the Heart's Desire project in Chicago. Many of us have been praying for this break through there for a long time. We felt so bad that those programs were so inaccessible to our brothers and sisters in the city. We'll do what we can to support it and really glad to hear Amma's hosts are supporting it. A friend of mine told me about her experience on tour with Amma in Bombay. This renunciate got involved with a small group of street children who were gathering the plastic from the garbage at the program because they could sell it. She started helping them, protecting them from the security people (not Amma's children) and eventually actually going into the slums to help one little one carry his two big bags (the program garbag was like a gold mine for them) to the buyer place and meeting his mother and the neighbors, etc. Amazing story of love and grace as clearly Amma was working through my friend. I hope she'll tell her story some day and i know this is just the beginning of what Amma has in mind. Jai Amma. premarupa " Always remember that you are just an instrument in God's Hands. Guest guest
Namah Shivaya, Kenna, it is surely a blessing to hear from you! Thanks for the wonderful stories back at Amritapuri. Sorry it took me a while to respond to this. I will probably see you in Chicago as my oldest son will probably be joining me there to see Amma for the first time. I am only (ONLY..I am fortunate to see Amma at all so count my blessings!) able to see Her in Dallas and Chicago programs for Devi Bhava only so just one day. But being a beggar, I cannot be too choosy. I am most fortunate. I am hopeful next year to have more vacation time to travel more with Her. Vipin was such a help here and we surely miss him and his wife. He is very knowledgeable about so much. I know so little really and he filled in all the big gaps that surrounded me with organizing Satsang. Alpna has filled in and Amma has now sent others who sing remarkably and lead bhajans in our Satsang. Do stay in touch and I will look for you in Chicago. love and in Amma, Adriane Ammachi , " Kenna del Sol " <kenna.delsol wrote: > > Namah Shivaya. > > Dear Adriane and all: > > It's been almost 2 months since Amma left for North India tour. > The bhajans were getting so sad every evening. > Amma sent the rain to cool us off on Easter. > Rain to here is like spring to the northlands there. > And we expect Her to return tomorrow. > I can't believe how much lighter all the residents and renunciates are > behaving. > > Vipin and i have finally met by Amma's grace, and I am finding him to be > very helpful and kind. > > And finally 2 more bird stories: > Someone said the crows represent Saturn, so if Saturn in your chart gives > you a hard time (in this child's case, sun squared saturn, and my husband > has moon squared saturn.
