Guest guest
Om Amma ! There is nothing but God's Love and Light. Actually there is only the ONE Ocean of Awareness. So, God = Love = Light = Awareness. When your spiritual heart begins to open, there is the feeling that this Pure Self-Sufficient Love is everywhere just like the field of Gravity is everywhere but cannot be seen. But, both Gravity and Love can be felt. Actually, Gravity, which is a field of attraction, is just another form of God's Love. This is why it is said that God's Love is Unconditional because it is omnipresent as the substratum of creation. The nature of Awareness is also Bliss and Truth and Perfect Balance. However, with no-thing to contrast, God decides to break the Perfect Balance and dream a dream of limitation. The Ocean of God's Love and Light moves to form waves which appear as minute energy packets called objects( including thoughts ). Thought is just a subtle object. This huge miracle is simply like a movie show of Light and shadows due to objects. That which is unbounded infinite binds itself into the minutest point of space-time. The energy involved in this binding is unimaginable until we see a nuclear blast. Maya( creation ) is God's state of self-imposed amnesia for the purpose of experiencing limitation and contrast. Suffering is the byproduct. When the suffering is intense enough, God begins to Awaken from this self-imposed dream. That is why, for some at an opportune time, suffering can be a very good Guru. It is interesting that the great Ma Anandamayi, who miraculously removed the suffering of many, to other sufferers She simply said, " Go for God-Self-Realization. " Many come to Ammachi with hopes of blessings to enhance their persona and success in the world. Nothing wrong here. It is the successful devotees with good will and generosity who are able to help Amma's programs and many many charities which serve millions of poor. But, even the successful are suffering in one form or another. Some are simply not aware of this yet. It is the fortunate ones who realize that even the greatest worldly joys are suffering compared to the Joy of God-Self-Realization. Then the process of Awakening begins. Guest guest
" But, even the successful are suffering in one form or another. Some are simply not aware of this yet. It is the fortunate ones who realize that even the greatest worldly joys are suffering compared to the Joy of God-Self-Realization " This is a complex topic, beyond our understanding. The ones who are not yet awake enough to feel the pain of separation...and appear to be without suffering...are suffering...because they are unconscious...and unconsciousness is being in pain, or fear, or hate, or anger. When we begin to awaken and all through our path of awakening we are going through a purification process so that we can sustain God's Love and Light...even an awakened soul will struggle with the mass unconsciousness, the purification process and learning how to control the mind and emotions. This is a constant process of watching one's actions so that you can learn how you respond in any given situation. We are each working on many different levels of karma, state (country) karma, cultural karma, ancestral karma, and the karma's chosen by each of us to progress on our soul's journey here on the Earth. We are also helping to work through the karma of the masses, so that they too have the ability to awaken to God's Love and Light. Some come back to earth who have already worked through their own karma, but they take on the veil of separation and go through the whole purification process again in order to train for certain levels of service work on their soul's evolutionary path. As well, completely awakened souls and satgurus partake in the mass suffering on this planet...even by just being here....it is impossible not to feel the suffering of the whole of humanity as an awakened soul. In the book " Daughter of Fire " Irina Tweedie's Reverend Guru, was constantly going through huge bouts of illness and he said both his father and his Reverend Guru (satguru) also experienced the same. It is a huge sacrifice for us all to be here and work out our own karma's as well as the karma's of the masses, but we do this for Love. We know within the depths of our beings, that this is the only thing that matters and we come not only to transcend separation but to hold this potential for all souls to come back to this Truth. Some souls go through this process on their own without ever having a chance to meet a great Mahatma like Ammachi, and to actually feel this level of Truth and Bliss so strongly...it is the drive of the Self...to find itself once again no matter what the obstacle. Guest guest
if the sufferer crys to the lord with full intensity and love,it is no longer suffering that one experiences but BLISS.... ,this is not percieved through the intellect, but direct experience. if we cry to the lord on behalf of those that suffer forgetting about ourselves,we will also experience HER BLISS.this happens by way of HER GRACE alone. for some reason it seems that in the west there is more energy spent philosphically analizing suffering as opposed to in the east there is more of an emphasis on not talking about it,but doing something about it. HER LOVE is so simple.we are all at different levels, yet we all have to eat.that is simple and to realize THAT is to place yourself on the level of every human-being alive.if we have truly suffered and have been save by HER GRACE ,we will long to relieve the suffering of others.we will cry to HER and want HER LOVE to be experienced by others more then we want is for ourselves. the desire to analize suffering will leave us.the experience of the HEART will take over. " we should be willing to pray for the upliftment of others ,rather then for our own progress.MY children, to develope such selfless love is the greatest progress we can make.true worship is seeing the suffering of others as our own suffering.and their happiness as our own happiness.True devotees see themselves in others.Theirs is a world of peace and contentment. You cannot compare cultures...and say one would handle this differently and this is the best way to handle it... Rather, this level of questioning...is part of this particular person's awakening....and the Guru would handle this accordingly. We must honor all paths and all questions...or this too is a judgment and may cut us off from the very thing we strive to become. Jesus, Amma and all masters meet each one, wherever this person is, and responds to the need of each one where needed. All must be welcome. This is Love. This becomes Bliss. " > .... > Jai Amma, > amarnath > >>> the above is what inspired my post; perhaps it was too long an intro, etc; sorry. i wanted to share this especially with Amma devotees who are experiencing suffering of health, etc. As you know Swami Paramatmananda had his share of suffering to go through and Amma told him that it would be better to bear some of the pain rather than be healed completely. Amma did help him somewhat with his health, but like Ma Anandamayi, advised him " Go for God-Self-Realization. " the other point, which many other teachers make, especially Budha, is that suffering of one kind or another is part of the human condition, and eventually leads one to spirituality Thanks for posting your ideas. Guest guest
dear sister your perspective is good, however, you are doing the very thing that you are suggesting we not do,which is to judge.you are judging this perspective ,are you not?you may have interpreted what this child wrote as him saying this is the best way to look at it,but he did not say that, you did in your judgement of what he said.this is the best.the best of this childs experience.i and there is nothing wrong with being willing to couragously look at areas that can use some improvement.is this not how we grow?we can all learn from each other, can we not?does LORD KRISNA not say that when there is a decline in dharma, he incarnates?everyone can do more, exspecially me. Martin Luther King Jr.,Mahatma Ghandi,Harriet Tubman,Jesus Christ,Bhudda, etc.all contributed to the transformation in areas that needed improvement.Jesus constantly made statements about the greed and selfishness of the pharisees and scribes of that day.he still loved them and had to have been aware in how they were suffering as well.he spoke against His very own culture.they killed his body because of it.we can flower it up and give it some very nice spiritual sounding explanation, however, that is the simple raw down to earth truth. a wise person once told me that the things that disturb us ,our are greatest teachers.they give us all a reason to love and forgive.and seeming how i am not a Mahatma, nor enlightened ,there will always be room for this child to grow.my experience is limited.AMMAs sun offers the best of what he has based upon that. when this child looks at the selfless service that is being done in the east, it inspires him to do more.he falls short ofcourse, but he is willing to learn from their examples and see how he can apply them to his life.AMMA has built 25,000 or more homes for the homeless in India, why cant we here at least strive to build one!how come we are so sensitive that when something like this is addressed , instead of just being inspired, we hide of into some spiritual explanation of why it is not being done? AMMA just plegded 46,000,000 dollars to relieve the suffering of the farmers in India.this should inspre us to do more.it is the Mahatmas example that we should be willing to learn from.there is nothing wrong with wanting to live closer to this example.as Yolanda king said ,AMMA walks the talk! this devotee wants to get closer in walking the talk! no ones pain and suffering is more significant then anyones.we have all been given so much.most of us have homes.most of us have food.most of us have all of our basic needs met.we have so much ,yet we are still empty.it is because we are not sharing our gifts with our full capacity.i am responsible of this myself, but i am not afraid to courageously adress this. if this child doesnt adress this, then he is contributing to it.this is my dharma and i accept it.it is my dharma to speak and do more in these areas.i realize that some will not like me for it,but i am not trying to please man ..i am striving to please GOD. this child has fallin many times, but through HER GRACE he has gotten back on his feet and acted.if i am attacked after this , that is fine.it doesnt matter.AMMA will keep seeing ALL of our good and as you say, meeting us ALL on our levels . all we all can do is our best.this is not " THE BEST " ,but my best. AMMA says that no amount of meditation will benefit us ,if we dont serve the poor.AMMAs sun did not sat this ,AMMA did. it takes courage to look into the eyes of a culture and then look into our own eyes and then see how we can contribute to the relieving of suffering in that situation.slavery would still exist if people like John Brown had not have been willing to righteously judge the injustice and inhumanity of that situation.India would not be a FREE country if Ghandi had not of faught against with " passive resistance " the injustice of the British rule.the lsit can go on and on and on. >Stacee Kramer <stacee.kramer >Ammachi >Ammachi >RE: Suffering as Guru & Awakening >Sat, 7 Apr 2007 14:24:54 -0700 (PDT) > > > > > if the sufferer crys to the lord with full intensity > > and love,it is no > > longer suffering that one experiences but BLISS.... > > ,this is not perceived > > through the intellect, but direct experience. > > > > if we cry to the lord on behalf of those that suffer > > forgetting about > > ourselves,we will also experience HER BLISS.this > > happens by way of HER GRACE > > alone. > > > >This is an ideal to strive for....but there is a >process within this to get from A-Z.
