Thank you Amarnath,

 

I love this prayer. I will keep this with my

collection. Over the years I have come across several

versions of The Lords Prayer, or prayers inspired by

this prayer. I thought it would be nice to share them

over the next few days in honor of the Holy week of

Passover and Easter.

 

This one comes from Mary Clairice McChrist. She has a

Our Mother’s Prayer

 

Our Mother of the Void,

Of the Earth and of the Heaven,

Our Mother, Divine, deep darkness,

Holy Womb of all Creation,

 

O Supreme Mother of all form,

Life, gunas, kayas, and realities,

Source of all birth, death, resurrection, and

ascension,

Weaver of the webs, the dimensions, and

The Cycles of Eternity,

Mother, we bow to Thee and

Open our hearts in reverence.

 

In surrender, we watch Thy Wonders,

The Gods and Goddessess of all religions

Flowing forth from Your Beingness.

Pure water and Cosmic Fire.

You are both the destroyer in nature

And nurturer in form.

 

With awe, we see the turning of Your cycles,

Your seasons, Your rhythms of life.

Through the sun-star-Earth, you descend

Into form, into the heart of Earth,

And then, You return form to Spirit.

 

Holy is Thy Name, O Supreme Mother.

Bless, Heal, Nurture, and Protect Your children.
