Is the Ammachi Tribe on www.tribe.net It is more of the 20-30 something crowd..... Not exactly " youth " but a different energy then this group. Guest guest Posted April 4, 2007 Report Share Posted April 4, 2007 thankyou and that is the age group that AMMAs sun was searching for.AMMAs sun wants to try to inspire the younger AMMA devotees to get involved with serving the homeless,lost,hopeless and forgotten people in N.america. this year through HER GRACE, we are doing the seva INNOCENT DESIRE in two, possibly three locations in which AMMA gives HER PRECIOUS DARSHAN. " INNOCENT DESIRE " is a seva serves that serves the homeless,lost,forgotten and hopeless by bringing them to AMMAs priceless and precious darshan.while they are there, they will also be provided free food and if possible for at least one night they will stay in the hotel that AMMA is staying in . this services success has been awsome already.we have done it twice already in san ramon cali. and as AMMAs sun already said, through AMMAs resolve working through our hearts ,it has expanded this year to chicago and even possibly will be done on the east coast.the chicago satsang group which is run by the Nairs have agreed to pay for all the food that is needed to feed whoever we bring to AMMAs chicago program. we have reserved four two queen sized bed hotel rooms which will be used for 16 woman of SISTER HOUSE.these are women that have been, or are homeless and have been through every hardship and suffering that the streets has to offer.for this one night they will recieve AMMAs hug and also the best comfort and the best food. in chicago,INNOCENT DESIRE is also speaking with a shelter that provides service for AMMAs homeless children that are HIV or AIDS positive.temba is waiting to hear back from them.. in june of 2006 AMMA touched the hearts of two devotees who participated in this seva.they sacrificed their hotel rooms and beds for a homeless mexican couple and homeless women who had various ailments.the homeless women said that she had not slept in that much comfort in over ten years.it is hard for temba to hold back the tears while he is writing this.when this very same women recieved her darshan from AMMA, she asked AMMA to re-unite her with her son. we have pictures of this darshan and it is so intense to see this beloved child of AMMA praying to AMMA in the darshan line with eyes closed even before she recieved her hug. we just found out that this very women has found her son, as she sent word with a devotee to send a word of thankyou to AMMA in nov. it is through AMMA coming to us in the " form " of this women that we have expanded the INNOCENT DESIRE seva by also doing our best to also provide the most comfortable and best night sleep for as many as we can for at least one night. this is aligned with AMMAs dream.please refer to the homepage of amritapuri.org. " we should be able to pray for the upliftment of others ,rather than for our own progress.MY children,to develope such selfless love is is the greatest progress we can make.true worship(puja) is seeing the suffering of others as our own suffering,and their happiness as our own happiness.true devotees see themselves in others.theirs is a world of peace and contenment.
