Guest guest
Hey everyone... So I have a 5 minute presentation to give this week in my religions of Southeast Asia class, and I'm kind of stuck. I know that I want to do it the differences between Hinduism and Buddhism in their depiction of desire, but I'm not quite sure how to pose the problem. I think I'd like to go the route of arguing that Buddhism more clearly defines desire as being a negative aspect, and that you aren't really striving for Nirvana but rather achieving it through detachment from duality. Hinduism I feel, revolves around each person's desire for Moksha. I'm not quite sure if I am on the right path, but if anyone has any ideas about a good argument I could make around this general point it would be greatly appreciated.
