I repsonded: Very productive comments you post. Heavy on the emotion and accusations but obviously light on the evidence and logic. Since my meaning is being misrepresented and I know what I meant when I wrote this I will clarify. What I was referring to is the exact words of the original author," It gives you a psychic lift, that ego- massage one needs for dismal days." If this little collection can inspire him and many Filipinos in such a manner surely India's incredible and vast examples of high civilization can similarly inspire. Or is such inspiration to be denied Hindus merely because we still attempt to live the culture? Is hope and inspiration only to be had for the descendants of an extinct past? And who was it exactly that decided we are not allowed the very same human emotions as any other man? You said it perfectly when you used the phrase silly nonsense except you should have been referring to yr istatement regarding the history of the Philippines. The discovery of the Sanskrit Laguna Copperplate inscription dated to 8th century proves beyond a doubt that the Philippines were a Hindu people. Their very language and script is Brahmi based. So despite the political efforts to strip India of its natural shakti thru mal-education the evidence clearly shows that Hindu culture was widespread and one of the high water marks of human civilization. History IS and the truth behind it is available. The attempts to deny India its history and the world the truth regarding Hinduism's beneficial and widespread influence is bound to failure. The opposition uses immature emotional accusations fearing the facts but the facts remain the facts. Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Mobile. Try it now.
