Guest guest
Dear all, Can any one throw the economic interpretations of the word Aryan? Sociologically, the root Ar simply means man (as in Arthur), with implications of nobility at a later stage. In accordance with the colonial goals, Dowson (who represented the colonial view of Hinduism) ascribes a meaning 'loyal " . However, an economic implication seems to attach this word with metals- more with Gold and even, perhaps Iron. I would like the group to discuss the word from this point of view. regards, Kishore patnaik
