Guest guest
Brahmasphutasiddhanta of Brahmagupta siddhanta - has been understood to be a doctrine - while it meaning is literally result of siddhi - and siddhi is intrinsic striving principle present in all humankind. " striving " has related action components which our ancients called karma. so " siddhanta " means the results of diligent research. And lo acharya brahmagupta came up with he word " brahmasphuta " concept - the key to this is the word " sphuta " for the universe. the " big bang " theory is " visphuta " for the start of the universe. similar yet so much dissimilar! The acharya expounded the concept of zero, a number of methods in mathematics and also calculated very precisely the length of the year! His works were translated into arabic. Now, the original work may be in some library - japanese, german and new zealand workers have digitized (meaning typed in the work) as part of some aid, i guess - and copyrighted the material. Of 24 chapters in his work about 6 dealing with only the mathematics were available on net for access of internet users - Now eve that is off. in india how many school children know about brahma gupta, bhaskara, or varahamira. I do hope the future will have kind thoughts and excuse the fallacies of the present for the denying them opportunities -even after Independence from foreign rule. regards,
