Here is the count in Sanskrit from 0 to 9

 

Sanskrit: shuunya eka dvi tri catur panca shash sapta ashhTa nava

 

Compare that with

 

Farsi: sefr yek doh seh chahar panj sheesh haft hasht no

 

and Hindi/Urdu:

 

Hindi: shunya ek do teen chaar paanch chheh saat aaTh nau

Urdu: sefar ek do teen chaar paanch chheh saat aaTh nau
