{I am not sure if there are scholars on comparative mythology and relgiion in

this group but I am posting this for information and further action of the

members any way. MW is a member of this group.

(2) Please let me know what you would like to talk about, -- also on

topics not mentioned above. Preferably, they should be *comparative*

in nature.

 

A summary would be due by April 1.

 

Members in Japan (and those rare individuals who can pay their own

way!) could of course also attend as participants without speaking.

 

(3) As mentioned, our finances are quite restricted this year. So,

not everyone who would like to attend (especially from overseas) can

expect to get funding from us.

Good morning,

I can write a Paper on India genic Mythology(ies) pertaining to Ganesa showing Internal Contradictions -Long Paper.

 

AND / OR

 

On the very interesting topic of Dominance & Resistance - Long Paper

 

AND / OR

 

Compare mythological traditions as are in Sino-Buddhist Texts with that of Indian - in relation to Ganesa (both the papers are 75% ready - finishing touch required). Short Paper

Tradition & Practice as is followed in the Hozenji temple at Nara and elsewhere in India - Original report

Black & White i.e. Hero & Villain

 

Hero in the myth of gone by group is a Villain for another gone by group. What could be the internal evidence/suggestive histo-cultural relationship on the basis of covenance in relation to time & place ?

 

 

However, i cannot travel to Tokyo. Not Possible, for i am an Unemployed person.
