1 for numeric germination cum swift ambulation - Sri Dhrita

9 times of 67 = 620 (leaving remainder 0.253)

so 9 + 1 = 10.

Add the next step as 1

9 +1 +1 = 11

so 10.877 times of 57 = 620 (rounded up i.e. say 11 times of 57 = 620)

Now see further

6757 divided by 620 = 10.898 say 11

67571 divided by 620 = 108.985 say 109

5767 divided by 620 = 9.301

57671 divided by 620 = 93.017

16757 divided by 620 = 27.027

15767 divided by 620 = 25.430

The Sq Root of 745 = 27

The Sq Root of 620 = 24.899 say 25

27 + 25 = 52

620 divided by 52 = 11.923 say 11

5767 divided by 52 = 110.903 say 111

6757 divided by 52 = 108.985 say 109

67571 divided by 109 = 619.91 say 620

745 divided by 11 = 67.72 say 67

620 divided by 11 = 56.36 say 57.

745 minus 620 = 125

The Sq Root of 15767 = 125.566

In every division we note some remainder i.e. Dhrit ? Dhritrastra ( the domain/world of remainders).

etc.

Nao do gyara (9+2=11) kiya Kya ?? (In Hindi it is the aphorism for, the Great vanishing trick).

This is also a case of VLSI - Very Large System Integration.

Dear Shri G. Gadadharji,The Bhagavad Gita published from the Gondal pith has 756 verses and that published by Dr. E.Vedavyas has two verses less, ie. it has 754 verses and not 745 verses as Dr. Vedavyas's book claims. You have not counted the verses yourself. Had you counted the total number of verses and also checked the verses attributed to the four speakers in the Bhagavad Gita you would have known the facts. I counted it myself as I have a copy of the book, which I received during the time Dr. Vedavyas last visited Pune and gave some talks there. According to the Gitamana sloka of the Mahabharata the distribution of verses the Bhagavad Gita is as follows:Dhritarashstra------------------------------ 1Sanjaya---- 67Lord Krishna----------------------------- 620Arjuna------- 57Total number of verses--------------- 745Dr.Vedavyasa's book does not meet the requirement of the Gitamana verse. One's admiration for a particular person should not make one blindly accept whatever the admired person says. One has the right to question even a respectable person. Even Arjuna questioned Lord Krishna and Lord Krishna had given the replies to satisfy his devotee, Arjuna.I too admire Dr. Vedavyas and he asked me to join the faculty of his University. But the facts are facts and you have to admit them.Regards,Sunil K. Bhattacharjya--- On Tue, 3/3/09, G Gadadhar <ggadadhar > wrote:

Dear Shri Sunil Bhattacharjya ji,

1. Your comments have great relevance as as Gita mana provides for 745 slokas and at present what we read is only containing 700 verses in popular editions2. Dr.Vedavyas ji's research had taken all previous researcher's findings, compared with the slokas of Mahabharata for authenticity for the number 745 and poblished them all. 3. Interstingly, Dr. Vedavyas gave due credit to all previous scholars on this subjet spread over 2000 years and reserved the compilation for the posterity with valuable summary and meaning for the additional 45 slokas. 4. Though not out of contect to mention, he published separately a simplified summary of the complete Bhagawad Gita as it can be used by the devout for daily parayana5. I have also seen a copy of 1935 version of Gita of Gujarat you mentioned which also is a valuable publication for the devotees as well as the research scholars.

6. Dr. Vedavyas has published more than 120 books on Vedic Sciences, Hinduism with scientific analysis in an understandable language to common man. He has not done these to take credit from knowledgeable circle. It is as a service to Hindusim and for spreading of the vedic knowledge to the common man.

Dear Gadadharji,You have mentioned about the works of Dr. E. Vedavyas. He was a good scholar. As regards the lost poems of the Bhagavad Gita the Original Bahagavad Gita had 745 verses whereas the commonly available version of the Bhagavad Gita has only 700 verses. Lord Krishna originally spoke 620 verses but in the commonly available version there are only 574 verses. This means 46 verses are missing ie somewhere along the way 46 verses were lost and one verse was interpolated to make the total number 700. Dr. Vedavyas claimed to have discovered an old manuscript of the Bhagavad Gita of 745 verses but that actually has more than 750 verses and thus this has some superfluous verses, as the Original Bhagavad Gita had exactly 745 verses, no more no less. But it turned out that what Dr. Vedavyas found was already published in 1935 from the Gondal peeth in Gujarat. So knowledgeable circle do not give any credit to Dr. Vedavyas any more for this work. THe Original Bhagavad Gita with exactly 745 verses, where the number of verses spoken by each of Lord Krishna, Arjuna, Sanjaya and Dhritarashtra are according to what has beeen given in the Mahabharata Gitamana sloka, is yet to ve available to the public.Sincerely,Sunil K. GREAT ACHIEVEMNTS BY ANCIENT HINDUS

Forwarded message from Stephen Knapp

ARYABHATT (476 CE)

MASTER ASTRONOMER AND MATHEMATICIAN

Born in 476 CE in Kusumpur (Bihar), Aryabhatt's intellectual brilliance remapped the boundaries of mathematics and astronomy. In 499 CE, at the age of 23, he wrote a text on astronomy and an unparallel treatise on mathematics called "Aryabhatiyam. " He formulated the process of calculating the motion of planets and the time of eclipses. Aryabhatt was the first to proclaim that the earth is round, it rotates on its axis, orbits the sun and is suspended in space -- 1000 years before Copernicus published his heliocentric theory. He is also acknowledged for calculating p (Pi) to four decimal places: 3.1416 and the sine table in trigonometry. Centuries later, in 825 CE, the Arab mathematician, Mohammed Ibna Musa credited the value of Pi to the Indians, "This value has been given by the Hindus." And above all, his most spectacular contribution was the concept of zero without which modern computer technology would have been non-existent. Aryabhatt was a colossus in the field of mathematics.

BHASKARACHARYA II (1114-1183 CE)

GENIUS IN ALGEBRA

Born in the obscure village of Vijjadit (Jalgaon) in Maharashtr, Bhaskaracharya' s work in Algebra, Arithmetic and Geometry catapulted him to fame and immortality. His renowned mathematical works called "Lilavati" and "Beejaganit" are considered to be unparalled and a memorial to his profound intelligence. Its translation in several languages of the world bear testimony to its eminence. In his treatise "Siddhant Shiromani" he writes on planetary positions, eclipses, cosmography, mathematical techniques and astronomical equipment. In the "Soorya Siddhant" he makes a note on the force of gravity: "Objects fall on earth due to a force of attraction by the earth. Therefore, the earth, planets, constellations, moon, and sun are held in orbit due to this attraction.. " Bhaskaracharya was the first to discover gravity, 500 years before Isaac Newton. He was the champion among mathematicians of ancient and medieval India. His works fired the imagination of Persian and European scholars, who through research on his works earned fame and popularity.

ACHARYA KANAD (600 BCE)

FOUNDER OF ATOMIC THEORY

As the founder of "Vaisheshik Darshan " -- one of six principal philosophies of India -- Acharya Kanad was a genius in philosophy. He is believed to have been born in Prabhas Kshetra near Dwarika in Gujarat. He was the pioneer expounder of realism, law of causation and the atomic theory. He has classified all the objects of creation into nine elements, namely: earth, water, light, wind, ether, time, space, mind and soul. He says, "Every object of creation is made of atoms which in turn connect with each other to form molecules." His statement ushered in the Atomic Theory for the first time ever in the world, nearly 2500 years before John Dalton. Kanad has also described the dimension and motion of atoms and their chemical reactions with each other. The eminent historian, T. N. Colebrook, has said, "Compared to the scientists of Europe, Kanad and other Indian scientists were the global masters of this field."

NAGARJUN (100 CE)

WIZARD OF CHEMICAL SCIENCE

He was an extraordinary wizard of science born in the nondescript village of Baluka in Madhya Pradesh . His dedicated research for twelve years produced maiden discoveries and inventions in the faculties of chemistry and metallurgy. Textual masterpieces like "Ras Ratnakar", "Rashrudaya" and "Rasendramangal" are his renowned contributions to the science of chemistry. Where the medieval alchemists of England failed, Nagarjuna had discovered the alchemy of transmuting base metals into gold. As the author of medical books like "Arogyamanjari" and "Yogasar," he also made significant contributions to the field of curative medicine. Because of his profound scholarliness and versatile knowledge, he was appointed as Chancellor of the famous University of Nalanda. Nagarjun's milestone discoveries impress and astonish the scientists of today.

ACHARYA CHARAK (600 BCE)

FATHER OF MEDICINE

Acharya Charak has been crowned as the Father of Medicine. His renowned work, the "Charak Samhita", is considered as an encyclopedia of Ayurveda. His principles, diagoneses, and cures retain their potency and truth even after a couple of millennia. When the science of anatomy was confused with different theories in Europe, Acharya Charak revealed through his innate genius and enquiries the facts on human anatomy, embryology, pharmacology, blood circulation and diseases like diabetes, tuberculosis, heart disease, etc. In the "Charak Samhita" he has described the medicinal qualities and functions of 100,000 herbal plants. He has emphasized the influence of diet and activity on mind and body.. He has proved the correlation of spirituality and physical health contributed greatly to diagnostic and curative sciences. He has also prescribed and ethical charter for medical practitioners two centuries prior to the Hippocratic oath. Through his genius and intuition, Acharya Charak made landmark contributions to Ayurvedal. He forever remains etched in the annals of history as one of the greatest and noblest of rishi- sc
