In the eastern part of Kraunchpur, there is a nishadya (memorial), which is still visited by noble people and revered. Thus at the time of Harishena Kathakosha, a memorial to Chanakya muni must have existed. It doesn't exist any more. The memorials to Jain monks and other who passed away in samadhi- marana exist in many places. There are many of them on the Chandragiri hill at Shravanbelgola, including one for the last Rashtrakuta king.
