Guest guest
Dear friends, I have received the following request for information, which I am incapable of answering adequately. Is anyone here able to respond? Thank you in advance for any help you can give. Jan. ========================== I am thinking to print something about Jagannathastakam and am interested in its background. Do you know of any sources where I might get information on any of the following: 1) Is there any historical or literary evidence that suggests it was written by Shankar? 2) If not, what is the history behind this claim? 3) Is there any historical or literary evidence that suggests it was written by Chaitanya Mahaprabhu? 4) If not, what is the history behind this claim? 5) Is there any evidence that Chaitanya Mahaprabhu ever recited Jagannathastakam? 6) Is there any historical or literary evidence that suggests it was written by Bhojadeva, the father of Jayadeva Goswami? 7) If not, do you know of any history behind this claim? 8) Are there any commentaries on Jagannathastakam? 9) Is Jagannathastakam mentioned anywhere in the Goswamis' literature? I find this a very interesting topic. I hope you have some leads you can share with me. I'm thinking to go to Puri in a few days and inquire from the Mahunt at the Gambhira. ================== Fussy?
