I hope to contact here a student of Puranas, maybe someone who is alert to the Bhagavata Purana. There is an incident of a student (brahmacarin) who has not been ever in contact, that he knew of, with a lady of any sort. Then he sees them and imagines that they are boys, with whom he has had contact, and that the boys are holding horns on their chests. The student may havce been Kapila Muni, but I am not certain. In another section of the Purana, there is a great sage or yogin who is associated with dogs. It may have been Agastya Muni. May I respectfully request confirmation on Kapila Muni and Agastya Muni, and, as a mercy, the verses in which the incidents occur. It would assist my research. I can't speak of the Bhagavata but if it helps the story of Rsyasrnga is also in the Mahabharata's third parvan, Aranyakaparvan or Vanaparvan, beginning with the tenth adhyaya in both the BORI and vulgate editions, in case that probably earlier version of the story may also interest.
