Guest guest
Dear All Shiv Bhakat, Om Namah Shivay, Some time back we had discusion for Shiv Parsad which I refered Shiv Puran for not eating Parsad or Flowers which are put on the Ling and I was asked for reference. I have from the day of Shiv Ratri started Reciting Shiv Puran where I found it in Vadeshwar Sahanta Adhya 21/22 which clearly mention that the Parsad which is put near any Shiv Ling but not touched can be used by any one,the Parsad or Flowers put on Shiv Ling can only be used by Shiv Bhakat but not all the visitors. However what I have studed in Shiv Puran in Sindhi Language and if want refer kindly go the pages between 89 and 91. Guest guest
Dear Assaram, I hv a doubt which i would like to ask u, i myself hv noticed, i do get parsad from shiv temple and most of the time i give it to my people, i usually eat only little, hv i done the right thing or no?? thanks rithika Assaram Alamchandani <aac6993 Sent: Tue, 23 February, 2010 11:47:27 PMRe: Parsad HariOm, I agree with your commentswhich here in Pakistan we have no pujari and the volunteers do all this work which includes collecting Parasad and its distribution. In Karachi Pakistan there is a ver old Shiv Temple which is called that was under sea water long ago its name indicated outside is "Ratneshwar Mahadev Mandir" the Ling is inside mountain and there is one cave which no one knows where it end and it is almost 50 feet below normal Road level and very close to sea.The caretaker is doing all what he likes they have raised the floor about 5/6 feet above the original Ling and another ling is mad on the raised floor which is worshiped and the original is lying coverd with glass cover. There was some mishap also around 10 ton heavy part of mountain stone was itself cut and came on floor but luckly no one was injured although it was pooja time on monday. What I mean to say that those who are volunteers there dont properly know the "Naeem" and ritulas of pooja etc therefore such mishap occurs. So "Parsad" too is mixed and used knowingly and unknowingly by all visitors which is may be rewarded otherwise. In India every Temple have some Poojaris and weather they are aware of all Shastars or not but they control every thing and what I have seen there that they don't touch any parsad with ling instead they put at a distance which I think outside Vedi, therefore it do not harm any one.
