Why praying during sutakas are banned cause after all we have heard we are suppose to be united with him always than why we can't pray to him during sutakas?

I don't understand that why we don't pray Shivji any time one have time,no Shastar say that the prayers are not to be done any particular time.If one see that in Muslims they fix 5 times and they too pray to lord shiva who every one says is super power which I have noted in discussions with them, there prayer timings are adjusted with the sun rise and set timings therefore in my opinion in our relegion we should pray any time and there shoul'nt be any restriction.

If I am incorrect kindly correct me with references.

I don't think we should be having these discussions.

If we have one pointed focus on God for 24 hours a day it leads to realisation of the self. There is no need to fix times of worship.

As householders we could make it our core value and discipline to perform prayers at specified points of time. The time actually does not matter. What matters is the focus.

In order to allow more meaningfull spiritual conversations to flow in , I request that we should terminate this discussion right here."Only in quiet waters things mirror themselves undistorted. Only in a quiet mind is adequate perception of the world."--- On Tue, 1/19/10, Assaram Alamchandani <aac6993 wrote:

I agrre with you, that prayer to Shiva could be offered any time, but it is specifically mentioned in Shiv Puran that Path should be finished before sun set and Parsad which touch Shiv Ling should'nt be eaten.I was in October,2008 on visit to Barsana Radha Birth place near Mathura,I wanted to have some Parsad from the Poojari bcoz i wanted to carry to Pakistan when i tried to call him he didn't here me so i tried to just touch him and was surprised when he jumped inside.I asked why you did so?the reply was that i am inside temple so i avoid to get touched by any one if it happen that i have to go for bath and change clothes although i was paveetar and well dressed but didn't understand the logic behind this thinking. While returning some other visiter told me that this is almost all over in Temples here and the poojari consider himself paveetar

as compared visiters.Lord Shiva or other Avtars of lord Vishnu have been so polite and they try to embrace its bhakat. What I mean to say that Poojaris act extremely and because of them our relegious suffer much.Same is in all other relegions!!!!!
