Guest guest
I want to know in which direction the water should be poured on shivlinga. Also do we have to pray first lord ganesha and then nandi and then shiva or not. I have heard that shiva is the supreme self and shankar is a god who meditates shiva. Please clear my doubts. I will be thankful to you. Guest guest
hello dear, as far as my knowledge is concerned, i think you must pray lord ganesha first, because lord shive himself said that any pooja without praying ganesha is incomplete. after praying lord ganesha you can pray lord shiva and offer water / milk from any direction except from teh front. om namah shivay..--- On Thu, 1/14/10, shivraj k <shivkadari wrote: shivraj k <shivkadari Information about pouring water on shivling Date: Thursday, January 14, 2010, 4:32 AM I want to know in which direction the water should be poured on shivlinga. Also do we have to pray first lord ganesha and then nandi and then shiva or not. Guest guest
Hi prakash, Thank you very much for taking out your time and replying to my query.I know that lord ganesha is called prathamesh(means first to be pray) but what i want to know is i have heard that shiv is different and shankar is different.Lord ganesha is the son of shankar not shiv.you will see that lord shankar himself sit in the meditation position and meditate but to whom we donot know. On the other hand what i think is SHIV is the supremeself(point light and source of everything). othere thing is that 2-3 days ago unknowingly i pour the water on shivling.i felt very bad after i poured the water.i asked the temple pujari that it is a bad work but since you have done unknowingly nothing will happen.i am visiting the shiva temple continuously from past 3 months having bath and pour the water in the morning. could you please tell me what to do as i am still feeling bad. Eagerly waiting for your reply. shivraj.
