Yama Tarpanam

 

I have been mentioning since long time about Yama Tarpanam which is a must for a PEACEFUL AND COMFORTABLE END and for taking the blessings of LORD OF TIME (KAAL)

I request you all to give this tarpan either or Friday or on Saturday (since Chaturdasi is still on Saturday and Amavasya Tarpan falls on Sunday this time) Vruddha Manuhu Slokam: Deepotsava chaturdasyaam kaaryancha yamatarpanam Krishnaangaraka Chatrudhasya Mapikaaryam tadhaivacha.(As per the sloka we are expected to give tarparanam to Yama Dharmaraja – the Lord of Death on the dark fourteenth day of Aswayuja Maasa – a day before Deepavali. This tarpanam is expected to give relief from APAMRUTHYU DOSHA. One of the Mahaa Yogaas is ANAAYAASA Marana Yoga – i.e. a

comfortable end amidst all Peacefulness which is considered as Mahaa Yoga in Jyosish Saastra. This boon can only be given by the Lord of Death.)

Aachamya --- Evam. Deepotsava Chaturdhasyam Yamatarpanam karishye.Dakshinaabhi mukhasteerne Barhishi Devateertheena (tila Misritam) (this is absolutely optional since some people do not wish to give tila tarpanam and from the text it is understood that only time tarpanam for of the fourteen below are necessary and as per Vedic texts when tila is used three times tarpan is a must and yagnopaveet apasavyam, therefore no need to use tila in this case) Jalamdadyaat.Yamam---------------Tarpayaami.
