Om Namah Shivaya

I have a very basic question.

The Rudraksha jabala upanishat says this about 14-mukhi rudraksha

" The bead with fourteen faces is of the form of Rudra being generated out of his

eyes and the devotee wearing it attains the grace of destruction of all

diseases. "

Shiv Purana says this according to www.rudraksharemedy.com

" A rudraksha with fourteen faces is the highest siva. It shall be worn on the

head with great devotion. It quells all sins. "

Devi Bhagavatam says

" The fourteen-faced Rudrâksam destroys all diseases and gives eternal health.

While holding this, one ought not to take wine, flesh, onion, garlic, Sajñâ

fruit, Châltâ fruit and the flesh of the boar which eats excrements, etc. "

How do we reconcile the above ? The upanishat did not give any extra praise for

14-mukh rudrasha .

regards,

Shailendra
