Guest guest
Blessed devotees, Vedas is a vast treasure house of knowledge of variety of subjects. Karma Kand is one part of it. One of its important part is concerning philosophy and is known as Vedanta and Swamiji taught the world Vedanta. He belongs to the category of those Rishis whose experiences form the Vedas. He had not only studied the Vedanta but had meditated on it and experienced it. It was not his school/college studies(which in fact he wanted to forget when he was actively practicing spirituality) but his realization of spiritual truths given in Vedas and power which comes with it which enabled him to exercise influence on the religious platform of the world at that time. There is a vast difference between bookish knowledge and realization. One brings often confusion and vanity and the other clarity and humility. Sri Ramakrishna Pramhansa, Swami Vivekananda's guru did not study in any gurukul, but he was a realized soul of high caliber. Although unlettered in the eyes of some modern educated youth, he was considered by the highly educated pandits of those time as most knowledgeable person on spirituality. Some of them sat at his feet to learn how to realize those truths which they had learnt from the Shastras! For them he was a living Veda. That is the difference between a realized person and an ordinary mortal
