Guest guest
Namaste Gopalji, Generally I agree with u. Religion as we understand today has three aspects: 1. Man's relationship with the lord, the Almighty/Universal consciousness(call it by any name u like)and how to know Him and to realize Him.In this regard all religions are valid PATHS to reach the Ultimate.(As Sri Ramakrishna has shown by following each path and arriving at the same ultimate experience). Methodology however is different in each case. 2.Man's relationship with his co-religionists-social life and norms are defined. These vary and depend upon the time and place of reigion's origin. In some cases it remains unchanged; in others it changes with time and circumstances. 3. Man's relationship with humanity other than his co-religionists; its attitude to all living beings, its philosophy. This too differs in each case. Some twenty years ago Hinduism Today had given on its center page a comparative chart indicating the similarities and differences of all major religions of the world. Therfore to assert that all religions are equal is, to say the least, misleading. Regards Chetan merani
