dear sir,

We know it is given in different scriptures about the

distance measured in Yojan.

In ramayan shri Ram built a bridge of 100 Yojan.

In other puraans the Lok's like satyalok, vaikunth etc are given in

certain yojan distance.

What is the distance of yojan in kilometres?

If any one knows please let me know.

regards,

kanishk.

thanks,

i have read

that the meru parvat is 84,000 yojan in height. That means it is

10,92,000 kilometres in height.

Indra's amravati is on top of that. That means that heaven is on top of

meru.

Brahmadev's Satyalok is much higher.

Many puraans give the same account of the height of meru as 84,000

yojan.

It even gives that indra's city of amravati is on top of meru.

It is given that Indra's amravati is on the eastern peak of meru,

Kubera's city on the nothern peak,

Agni's city on the south eastern.

It is very interesting to read these things in the puraans.

regards,

kanishk.
