Guest guest
63. Control the Mind The body is a chariot. The charioteer is the principle of Buddhi (intellect). The senses are the horses. The reins that regulate and restrain the horses is the Manas (mind). When the mind wavers and wanders, not having stability of purpose, the horses run helter-skelter, endangering even the charioteer, Buddhi (intellect). So, one has to control the mind and not pollute it with greed for sense pleasures. The mind has to act as the associate of Buddhi. Speech sub serving the mind and mind sub serving the intellect - this is the way to bring about Prashanthi, the Supreme Peace. And, slowly and steadily, instruct the intellect to turn towards the Atma. Speech guided by a mind, which is in tune with an intellect illumined by the Atma - this will lead to us the ultimate goal. Do not lead a pompous life. Adambara (pomposity) is the root cause of Ashanti (restlessness). Give up Adambara and strive to attain Ananda (bliss). True bliss cannot be acquired from outside; it lies in your heart.. In fact, bliss pervades the entire world. Your mental perversions are responsible for seeing evil in it. Hence, purify your mind. Only then can you become a true human being. Perform meritorious deeds. Speak good words. Lead a sacred life. In this manner, you can find fulfilment in life. Guest guest
Dear Dr. B.G.Y.Shastriji, Namaskar! There has been a serious flaw in our Hindu calendar of festivals. The principles set by the rishis are no more valid. This is true even with the chariot and the charioteer example.I have also wanted to bring this to the notice of Bahgvban Sai Baba, but not been able to do so far. The senses as the horses are related to the earth axis, the mind as the reins is related to the earth orbit, buddhi as the charioteer is related to the lunar plane. At present since the coordination of the three planes, earth's rotational plane or the direction of the axis, the earth orbital plane or the solar sankranti and the lunar plane or the full moon zone are no more. Thus the said three factors and the inter relationship have broken. This means it is out of coordination. We have to do calendar reform to establish the relationship between the three. Then only we will be able to fullfil the goal as desired. This means the driver can with the help of the reins control the horses or the senses only aftaer calendar reform. Now it is difficulat to do the same. tahnk you, Regards, Hari malla , " Dr.B.G.Y Sastry " <drbgysastry wrote: > > 63. Guest guest
Dear Harimallaji, Pranams, Bhakti is eternal. Your analysis is perfectly correct, if the planetary positions as per the latest development of science is taken into consideration. Here Baba’s guidance is only to control the mind with the will power without which the peace of mind will be lost, similar to that of a charioteer without controlling the horses and did not refer to the movement of planets. It is true that the science is being developed much. Bhagavan Baba has to elaborate the subject. . HIS blessings are with you for reading the discourses.
