Dear Divarkarjee

 

Thank u so much for your mail for Kailash Photos Album forwarded by me and your nice words. I really appreciate your interest in undertaking the pilgrimage.

The yatra is conducted by Min of Extl Affairs thru K M VN every year and applications are called from the proposed yatris well in advance say 6 months before the yatra begins for processing. They must be physically and medically fit to undertake the yatra as it involvs trekking in high altitude in in hospitable conditions and harsh weather

Theyselect only 700 yatris per annum out of lot and from june first week onwards each batch will leave delhi after a throught medical check up in ITBP hospital

This yatra invovls 29 days from delhi to delhi and u need to spend atleast another 2-3 days after arrival from your headquarter

 

U also need to possess a valid kpassport

 

The other route is via Kathmandu operated by private tour operators both from India and Nepal. However those who choose to go thru Indian operators will also be put incharge of Nepal operators who only have the permission to apply for Entry Permit, Visa etc and they provide sherpas for carrying our luggage, providing food onway

 

This will cost roughly Rs80,000 to 1,20,000/- per yatri depending upon the operator they choose and the yatra involvs 16 days package from Kathmandu to Kathmandu and your up and down travel from your home town to Delhi and from there by Flight will be to your account

 

Here the yata vis nepal doesnot invove not much of trekking excepting parikrama of Holy Kailash which takes 2 and half days from base camp. and this can be covered by horse also

 

I had been to Holy Kailash thru Min of Extl Affairs, twice in the year 1996, 97 and then via Kathmandu took pilgrims during 2002,2003,2004,2005,2006,07

 

But to go via Kathmandu also the pilgrim must be medically and physcially fit as the journey is very tough and due to high altitude travelling

Thanks for your interest and u need to certainly select a good person who is not commercial but at the same time service minded to choose. Certainly I shall be too happy to help u inthis matter as I have taken people of various ages since 2002 via Kathmandu

 

Yes experience has to be experience and Holy Kailash is to be seen to be believed and the amount of cosmic power and vibration is simply unbelievable and Lord Kailashpathi and Goddess Parvathi will definitely give you enough courage and strength to enable you and all others for His darshan

Thanks for sharing the pictures. This is my first look at the landscape and it is truly fascinating.

 

One of the pictures had a caption of Vasuki. proptecting the North Face of Kailash. Where is Vasuki to be seen? Is it the flat sheet of snow at the top that is being referred to as Vasuki?

The hood of cobra as seen on top of North FAce of Holy Kailash and Swamini Sri Sri Mahesanand Saraswati has referred that one only as Vasuki protecting North Face
