Guest guest
Dear Sanjeev, Bhakti is eternal. I could not at all understand your message, since my science knowledge is limited to human anatomy and physiology, diseases, treatment etc and the information on Hinduism is learnt by me, only from ancient books and discourses of Saints and not on any scientific methodology. I did not bother since I stopped sending the messages as per your wish. But now, some members of all the groups have expressed their ideas and asked me to continue the postings. It has become inevitable and before doing so, I wanted to intimate you. Dear brother Sanjeev, I do not know whether you are younger or older to me. But I treat every one as my brother. From your writings, I find you possess good amount of knowledge but a little emotional. You might have developed hatred on Babas. I do not force you to be the devotee of Bhagavan Sathya Sai (though most eminent personalities of all nations have become His devotees), unless you wish. But is there any thing wrong in hearing His discourse? Are they not good to the humanity? For instance take Cow milk. If the milk is pure we will take. Do we bother whether the cow is of any creed or colour etc? I appeal to you, not to wish any one to perish, since every soul including you is God. Finally I am continuing the Golden words . . . . . I do not use the Sites for personal correspondence at any cost. But it is only to answer your query published in the sites, I am forced to reply. No wonder the era is considered dark ages of India when Bhakti was flourishing in the society. No science, arts, philosophy, technology was developed during this period and economically and militarily country was on a rapid downward spiral, while other world was making rapid progress in these fields. While people were busy trying to reach HIM through Bhakti, the whole nation and society was decaying and repidly declining. The Nawab at Lucknow continued his indulgences of chess while inimical forces were knocking at his door to dismantle the kingdom! As Einstein said, "The problems that exist in the world today cannot be solved by the level of thinking that created them. As intelligent people, now the need is to awake from slumber of our bhakti and evaluate what went wrong. It is said fools are those who continue to do the same thing and expect different results. That is why I object to so called golden words of sundry babas. The teaching is the same for last thousands of years which resulted in disaster for India . At the risk of repetition I may point out that during the last thousand years when people were busy in their bhakti to reach HIM, muslims killed 85 million Hindus, 500 million Hindus were converted to Islam and Christianity and half the land mass of Aryavarta was lost to hostile enemies (Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh). I wonder why even educated people are giving the same failed medicine and whether they still think more of the same will solve any problem. Many times I observe that experience of people is just repetition of one year experience into number of years lived i.e. 1 x 70 only. They continue to commit the same mistakes year after year – decades after decade and without learning any thing new and changing with the times, they become experienced in their particular field. In fact it is obsolescence and not experience. One may always ignore the critics as not important but criticism always forces you to think and take a fresh look at your assumptions and ideals. One may not fully agree with Naipaul but his following observations are worth thinking over. 'An Area of Darkness' and ' India : A Wounded Civilization,' two quite brilliant books on India by V.S. Naipaul, a Hindu, and a Brahmin, born in Trinidad . In the second, the more discursive, Naipaul writes that India "has little to offer the world except its Gandhian concept of holy poverty and the recurring crooked comedy of its holy men, and ... is now dependent in every practical way on other, imperfectly understood civilizations." Hinduism, Naipaul writes, "has given men no idea of a contract with other men, no idea of the state. It has enslaved one quarter of the population [the Untouchables] and always has left the whole fragmented and vulnerable. Its philosophy of withdrawal has diminished men intellectually and not equipped them to respond to challenge; it has stifled growth. So that again and again in India history has repeated itself: vulnerability, defeat, withdrawal." Indians, Naipaul says, have no historical notion of the past. "Through centuries of conquest the civilization declined into an apparatus for survival, turning away from the mind ... and creativity ... stripping itself down, like all decaying civilizations, to its magical practices and imprisoning social forms." He adds later, "No government can survive on Gandhian fantasy; and the spirituality, the solace of a conquered people, which Gandhi turned into a form of national assertion, has soured more obviously into the nihilism that it always was." Naipaul condemns India again and again for its "intellectual parasitism," its "intellectual vacuum," its "emptiness," the "blankness of its decayed civilization.Indian poverty is more dehumanizing than any machine; and, more than in any machine civilization, men in India are units, locked up in the straightest obedience by their idea of their dharma. And also the overall obedience it imposes, ... the diminishing of adventurousness, the pushing away from men of individuality and the possibility of excellence." If we want to transform the Hindu society fit for the 21st century and make it strong homogenous society for survival and prosperity, for the sake of young generation, change the way you were thinking for last several centuries – or perish !! I have already received the following message from Brother Sanjeev Kulkarni on 13.5.2009: Sir, you are churning out blantant lies and unscinetific theories in the name of Hindu religion. It seems you are unaware of debate on creationism V/s evolution and the stand taken by the scientific community. You are harming the society by propagating falsehood. Foundation of any society should be based on scientific temper and not superstition. Calling proven fraud like Satya Sai Baba as Bhagwan is a symptom of a sick society without any future. Sanjeev The copy of the above message was also marked by him to all the three sites. While none has objected, some members in the sites have urged for continuation of the messages, since they are valuable. I did not give much important to the objection, since some are there who do not like Baba, while millions of devotees worship him internationally. I continued to send the discourses. He is called as Bhagavan, which does mean not only God but also a venerable Guru. Is it wrong in seeing a Guru in a person sacrifices his life for the Hindu Society and preaches on the subject? Bhagavan Sathya Sai has completed 82 years and I know him for the past 45 years or more. He is who thriving for the Hinduism and Sanatana Dharma. His simple language makes the young to understand the way of Hindu life. He is internationally recognized and the Indian continent is lucky to have Him presently with us.. The objection is addressed to Moderator and sent to all the three sites! Is it to the moderators of all the three sites? I did not feel so, since in the subject column it is given as “Reg: [Delhindu]†and concluded it is for one. In fact I agree that I am unaware of the motto of this site and took it as only devotional. But now I understand from the above that this is meant to discuss the PROBLEMS FACED BY HINDUS. The name itself is “DELHINDUâ€. The golden words of a devoted Hindu which propagates Hindu Sanatana Dharma are considered as misusing the Site! When the basic principles are not considered what type of problems is being solved? What are the relevant issues? Is thinking God a superstitious belief? If so it is atheism which is against to the Hindu principles. I am not an immature young boy. I had served the public for forty years and still continue to render the service to patients and spending time in spiritual matters at my seventies. If any of you remember, during last year, I have sent fourteen parts of articles on Hinduism, which were welcomed by all. I can sit alone and pray. But Guru Paramacharya told me that I should share with others and that is more Bhakti and therefore I joined these sites. Mine is thriving for Bhakti, which is ultimate to reach HIM. What ever article sent by self or forwarding others, they are meant for the readers and not for the sender. When the reader is not satisfied they are waste. Further it tantamount to committing a sin by the sender. From the observations of brother Sanjeev, I can understand how deeply my messages hurt him so also others. I beg excuses from brother Sanjeev for not considering his first message (Copy of which was also marked to the site and none negated) and making him to address the Moderator in an official language in a devotional site (I still feel), being a Moderator and owner of another site. I am discontinuing sending messages from to day.. I wish and pray for the successfulness of the site for a noble cause. I feel this forum should not be misused for endlessly churning out superstitious beliefs. I think this forum is for discussing problems faced by Hindus today and not printing books. Please filter out this endless torture and this space and forum should be strictly devoted to discussing relevant issues. We are not interested in reading religious books on this forum. God is the harmonyMan's duty is to sanctify his days and nights with the unbroken smarana (recollection) of the Name. Recollect with joy and with true yearning. If you do so, God is bound to appear before you in the Form and with the Name you have adored Him. God is all Names and all forms, the blending of all these in harmonious beauty! The Gods worshipped in different faiths, adored by different human communities, are all various manifestations of the one Divine principle that really is. Just as the body is the harmonious blending of the senses and the limbs, God is the harmony of all the forms and names that mankind worships. When you win the Love of God, His compassion will flow unto you. Love gives and forgives. Ego gets and forgets. Live without hating others, condemning others, or seeking faults in others. Doing good to others is the only meritorious act... Doing evil is the most heinous sin. When you feel you cannot do good, at least desist from doing evil; that itself is a meritorious service. Do not try to discover the differences, discover unity. God is in the World, in and through everything. No item can be discarded as not worthy of God. There are four stages in securing the Grace of God: (1) Attach your mind to the God, (2) Love the Form of God to which the mind has been attached, (3) Install the Form in your heart, (4) Dedicate all that one has and does to the Form Installed. God is fragrance, brilliance, sweetness, taste, intelligence, valor, austerity, fame, contentment. You can acquire unalloyed bliss by knowing this universal and all-inclusive Glory of the Lord.
