Guest guest
Dear sirs, I have heard that chanting the name of the lord is the best when it is mental. There are supposed to be three types of Jap: Loud Verbal, Quite verbal and mental. I am doing the mental jap of Lord Shiv. Is there anything wrong in the mental Jap? regards, kanishk. ***************************************************************************** This Email and files transmitted are confidential and intended solely for the use of the individual or entity to whom they are addressed. Guest guest
Kanishk, You cannot really 'read' Rig Ved mantras. You would have to learn them from a shrotriya/guru. There are a limited set of Vedic mantras which many of us chant without training but chanting Rig Ved mantras would require a guru. Anyway, this is just my opinion and you are the best judge. Generally speaking, even listening to Vedic mantras has a positive impact on the person due to divine vibrations in them. For e.g. if you listen to Arunam with shraddha on a Sunday morning after taking bath and before consuming food, it will improve your health. Here is a link to Arunam (praise of the Sun God) http://www.vedamantram.com/ regards, Shailendra , kanishk <kanishk.chakravarty wrote: > > Respected sir, > I am reading the Rig Ved. Guest guest
Thank you sir, I love chanting the rig veda mantra's. I have been reading the rig veda, since 6 months. It has many good sukta's. It has sukta's related to devas like: Indra, Ashwini kumaar, Varun, Brihaspati, Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiv(Rudra). It has a lot of positive impact. I also have the Krishna Yajur veda, and Atharva veda. It is really good reading the veda. I feel a lot of peace. Thank you for your reply. regards, kanishk.
