I have a simple question. When performing daily pooja and/or lighting a lamp,

where should the diety face and where should the upasaka (the one performing the

pooja) face ? I mean direction.

Is it ok for the person to face north (the way I visualize it is that Bhagavan

Dakshinamoorty is facing south so I am facing north) and light the lamp ?

Regarding Shivalinga, I have read/heard that upasaka should face north while the

pedestal should face east.
