I have been to Gujarat and visited the The Jyotirlinga temple. It was a small one and that time patronised by Gulshan kumar (audio Cassete king). A huge statue of Shankara was supposed to come up there. This month I visited Jageshwar - near Almora Uttarakhand. an ancient group of temples. One temple there lays claim to be the Jyotirlinga temple. To me it appears that claim to be more befitting. As the Shloka names the 'Rupa' of shiva i.e. baidyanath, mallikarjun etc. and also lists the name of the place. That way the 'Rupa' of shiva should be Nagesham and place Darukavane. I interpret the place as forest of Daar trees. And the Jageshwar is a forest of Dev dar (cypress) trees. Shankracharya also visited the place when he resurrected Shiva and Shakti temples in Kumaon from Buddhism. The photos of the temple and location in google earth can be found here.http://www.panorami o.com/user/ 116638/tags/ JageshwarRegardsNavin BhattSaurashtra Somnatham Cha Shrishaile Mallikarjunam ||Ujjainyam Mahakalomkare Mammaleshwaram ||Parlyam Vaijnatham Cha Dakinyam Bheem Shankaram ||Setu Bandhe Tu Ramesham Nagesham Daruka Vane ||Varanasya Tu Vishwesham Tribakam Gautamitate || Himalaye Tu Kedaram Ghurmesham Cha Shivalaye ||Aetani Jyotirlingani Sayam Prataha Pathennaraha ||Sapta Janma Kritam Papam Smaranen Vinashyati ||
