Guest guest
Dear Devotees, I have never had a physical Guru and considered the Guru of Gurus DakshinaMurthy as my Manasika Guru. I have come to realise that I may not be following the correct action or actions or am not taking the right decisions or not doing things the right way. I am feeling the need for a Guru now and longing for one. Is there is a Guru for me in this group? I am sure each one here is highly knowledgable and compassionate. I would like to be a disciple of one learned person and who is well versed with Mantras and Vedas and can help me with my learning and spiritual growth. Looking forward for a positive response. This is by means an application for a position and not to be taken in any other sense. I just would like to feel connected to a Guru. This would sound like an awkward and unusual request. But the intentions are positive. Let me know your thoughts. Regards Hum Hum Mahadev, Jai Aghora. Sriram
Guest guest
Sriramji,From what little I have read and listened to in the past two years or so, my understanding is that if the yearning for the 'Truth' is sufficient, the meeting of the Guru and the Shishya is inevitable. i.e. the yearning has to be there, sufficiently deep and genuine. In the mean time, I would recommend joining some Satsanga that is local to you.Sai
Guest guest
Dear sir, Thank you for the response and I do agree with your thoughts and mentions. I am residing in London and not very easy to find a Satsang having similar religious and spritual intentions. Hanuman took Lessons from Surya Bhagavan, Arjuna took lessons from Krishna. Similarly the need for a Guru is highly emphasised in the Puranas. My life has undergone a fair level for trasistion over the few years. I am trying to attach myself to Bholenath at every possible instance. There is nothing without him. I have many questions unaswered. Since great minds meet here I thought this is the best place to begin my search, Regards Sriram.S"Only in quiet waters things mirror themselves undistorted.
