Namaste Krishnan,

Om Namah Sivaya ! The very first line of Sri Rudram is

"om namo bhagwate rudraya"

I bow to Bhagavan Rudra. Who is Bhagavan ? The one who has all the

Sri(wealth, comforts), bal/veerya(strength ), yash (fame, position

etc), jnana (knowledge) and also vairagya (detachment) . So all the

wealth in the world belongs to Bhagavan Rudra (also invoked in Shiva

form in Rudram). At the same time, he is absolutely detached - has

nothing to gain or loose from anything and is also the source of

detachment . The one striving for liberation, needs a certain degree

of detachment from material comforts and social entanglements. That

detachment also comes from Bhagavan.

regards,

Shailendra

Dear Prasadrao garu,

I am not an expert but I will share my humble insights on the spiritual path you mentioned from my experiecne and reading,

Kaliyuga (this) is the right time for people on earth to get into spiritual path, because right now there is so much unrest and inscurity and instability that our souls will be reminded of god and his kingdom, this is the time when we have to reflect upon who we are and try to understand our connection with god, this is the chance we have got to raise up and realize our true identity and walk in the path of god.

Let's imagine in an ideal world (where everything is fine and beautiful and peaceful) do we remember god? only during pain and distress we understand god, from all the hardships we face we learn and realize god, karma, re-incarnation etc.

The simplest (most difficult at the same time) path Mahatma Gandhiji taught us is to follow the path of truth, with this we can achieve spiritual awareness like he did, there are other tools like Mantra chanting, Pranayama, Meditation to make our self deciplined and centered to receive spiritual awareness but the foundation is always is based on truth, compassion and love.

If you have noticed in the recent years there is a lot of interest among people to understand god and become spiritual. Yoga, pranayama and spiritual healing techniques have become very popular, there is definitely a spiritual revolution going on and this is the right time for people to start the spiritual journey.

In Divine Love,

Om Namah Shivaya,

Divakar,
