Om namah shivay,

Anyone can wear Rudraksha. And to select the type of rudraksha one may select upon the rashi, purpose & also it may be profession.

but i think wearing any type of rudraksha is not harmful, results may be different but not negative.

Namaskar. Anyone who is a siva Bhakta, respects Rudraksha can wear the same. If you see in Tirunelveli Distt, in south India Saivaites most of the ladies used to wear Rudraksha and Veebhuti in addition to Kumkum. The hole in Rudraksha is its natural formation and onlly in duplicate the hole is plucked. The different shapes of the hole need not be counted upon. For a Siva Bhakta any variety of Rudraksha, signle face(Eka Mukhi) to Shodasa Mudhi(16 face) all are the same. Though described with varied fruits and results the Grace of Lord Siva is obtained for the true nature of Intensive Love and desire in a devotees heart and not for anything else. May Lord Siva the embodiment of Love and Wisdom be in our hearts.

Dear Seema, Rudraksh is the divine power blessed with auspicious energies of Lord Shiva. Rudraksha beads which are originated from Lord Shiva's tears can be found in different forms (mukhis - faced) and anyone can wear it to feel the positive energy. Wearing Rudraksha controlled heart beat and had a positive effect on Blood Pressure, Stress, Anxiety, Depression, Palpitations and Lack of Concentration. It will also bless you with good luck and peace. It starts from 1 faced/mukhi, which is the rarest one, to 16 or 21 faced/mukhis. I will send you more information on whom should wear which mukhi rudraksha. Also there are few rules of wearing them like one should not wear it while sleeping, drinking, smoking, having sex, menstrual cycle, visiting any funeral or a new

born baby.Regards, Amit Arorawww.aboutshiva.comSeema Karki <rudrasaikarki Sent: Tuesday, July 8, 2008 9:03:31 PM Rudrakshya QuestionOm Namaha Sivaya!!I am sorry if I am repeating the same messages. I

you mentioned the following line:

" there are few rules of wearing them like one should not wear it

while sleeping, drinking, smoking, having sex, menstrual cycle,

visiting any funeral or a new born baby. "

when a member give his or her own personal views or opinions or

suggestions, it is fine since the reader has the discretion to take

it or not.

however, when you mention something as rules, you must substantiate

the source of such rules and give the references of such prohibitory

rules found in which scriptures.

the links you gave are surmises and opinions of modern individuals.

kindly understand that you cannot present something as a rule just

because one individual has said something. modern books written by

businessmen and information authored by modern individuals in their

websites is not what i asked you.

members are aware that whatever i say about rudraksha is

substantiated by the puranas and i am always ready to give the source

from these ancient scriptures.

shivapurana is the original source of all information regarding

rudraksha. similarly there are some other puranas and upanishads and

even mahabharata writes a lot about rudraksha. but having been in

the service of rudraksha for several years, i have not seen any such

prohibitory lines in these ancient scriptures. in the absense of any

such references from the ancient scriptures, you cannot publicise a

rule just because someone has said. your last line is correct that

shivbhakts have to treat it with respect and not disrespect which i

also endorse but shivbhakts must be given references of any

prohibitory language in any ancient scripture, if you say them as a

rule.

Dear Pandit Ji,

I understand what you are trying to say about the rule thing. However in my

views these rules should be imposed by the person who is wearing it either it

is a modern philosophy or an ancient one. Now it totally depends upon the

person who want to agree to my views or not. I will also discuss this in other communities and also ask

few of the sadhaks who have read the maha shiva purana to confirm this. I

myself has gone through a smaller version of shiv maha purana but that is not

the detailed one. Also Pandit ji I also respect your experience of dealing in

rudraksha beads and your knowledge but I as I told earlier that I have just given my views as per my knowledge. Thanks. Regards, Amit Arorawww.aboutshiva.companditarjun2004 <panditarjun2004 Sent: Friday, July 11, 2008 2:06:07 PM Re: Rudrakshya Questiondear shivbhakt
