Guest guest
Namaste Shailendra,"It is said in the Vedas that the ONE desired to be many",The reason for this is very simple, it is to sustain the life of Brahman, imagine yourself the One without a second, who can only be one and who is everything. If the all blissful self (Nirguna) were to remain in bliss perpetually it would die as there would be no reference of anything. Hence it takes form to sustain activity( saguna ) and created Samsara as a "playground" for learning and experience.Which is why he is seated in the heart of the created ....as he not only learnsfrom this but is the silent witness (Sakshi) to experiences.Shailendra Bhatnagar <bhatnagar_shailendra wrote: Om Namah Sivaya Namaste, It is my understanding that both Hari and Hara have their root in hrih which means to rob or take away. Bhagavan is said to be the one who takes away samsara or liberates you from samsara (material life). The first thing that strikes you is, why did he create samsara ? You call Bhagavan Hari or Hara and then all scriptures praise or extol him as the imperishable seed (avyayam beeja) or the very cause of jagat(world). It is said in the Vedas that the ONE desired to be many, I don't recall the exact but it is roughly - sokaamayataat bahusyam prajayayeti ...). The jagat (universe) is said to be the creative power or shakti or prakruti of the Lord. It seems like Bhagavan is playing a game with the poor creatures in various yonis. Why did he have to create them and make them go through all the comforts and discomforts of samsara ? Frankly, I don't think anybody has an answer for this - I have heard many perspectives. The advaitin calls the jagat mithya, the dvaitin says prakruti is different from purusha and perhaps the Shakta will have a different opinion (namo jagat pratishtaya devyai krityai namo namah ...). I would like to hear others on the list. regards, Shailendra ________ Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Mobile. Guest guest
Shailendra jiYour question is seed and samhara -why?Any energy cannot be kept idle it has to go through a process so it is engaged in creation & distruction.Even the energy created by man has to either be used for creation or destruction it cannot be kept idle going by this logic you can think of many examples. The vedic knowledge helps us to get into the core cosmic energy to avoid the process of seed & samhara, in fact it gives us various codes to be applied as beejas, mantras which paves way for getting into the core cosmic energy & for this we seek the help of a Guru who had succeeded in matching his thoughys with the cosmic energies intelligence/ freequency . These are my thoughts hope it anwers your question & the concept.regardsRajiv
Guest guest
Sir,Can you elaborate on this? I mean make it more detailed. Is it destruction or recreation. I was under the impression that nothing is destroyed.Thanks.rajivn2004 <rajivn2004 wrote: Shailendra jiYour question is seed and samhara -why?Any energy cannot be kept idle it has to go through a process so it is engaged in creation & distruction.Even the energy created by man has to either be used for creation or destruction it cannot be kept idle going by this logic you can think of many examples. Guest guest
> Rudra Tamo Guna- Tamas Destruction Kali Kriya - (action) > Om Namah Sivaya Namaste, I have seen this before but never understood why Sri Rudra is associated with Tamo guna. In a way, destruction is activity while Tamas is dullness or indolence or inactivity - for e.g. too much sleeping, too much eating or laziness/dullness are considered tamoguna. regards, Shailendra
Guest guest
Thank you very much.Dev Maharaj <dev_maharaj wrote: Namaste UdayabhanuIs it destruction or recreation. It is a cycle and as such there are different states and phases of samsara. However, for recreation to begin there has to be destruction of the concrete forms of energy which is then used for recreation. Note well that every moment this threefold process is going on, even in your body.Namah SivayaBest RegardsPandit Devindra MaharajUdayabhanu Panickar <udhayabhanupanickar > wrote: Sir,Can you elaborate on this?
