Dear Shiva,

I deem it a great privilage to share my experiance during this

shivarathri festival this year.

H.H. Swayamprakasha Satchidananda Saraswathi Swamiji, Shankaracharya

Swamiji of Hari Hara Pura Mutt, situated just 20 kms before shringeri,

Karnataka, during his visit to Hyderabad happened to invite all the

devotees present to visit the age old Mutt established by the shisya

of Adi Shankaracharya himself at Hari hara pura, and witness special

yagas and prayers on Maha shivarathri day.

I after going through the relevant sites of the Mutt in the web site.I

also came to know about the yeomen services done by the Swamiji to

propagate Sanathana Dharma in the tribal areas and check conversion of

religion by force. I in order to strengthen his mission proceeded to

Karnataka fm Hyderabad, and on reached the mutt was very much

impressed with the accomodation and prasad provided. This Mutt is

situated adjacent to the tunga river and excellent place for

meditation. On the eve of Maha Shivarathri, Swamiji with his little

retinue, mingled with the tribals as one amongst them and gave a

wonderful pravachan about the greatness of shiva pooja. And before my

very eyes message was spread about the visit of Swamiji, and after

one hour about 3000 tribal assembled and sought the blessings of

Swamiji and wanted him to give some initiation or guidance. Swamiji,

commemorating with the Shivarathri, gave shiva deeksha to all of them

present and asked them to chant Shiva nama for atleast ten minuites

daily. The tribals took a vow to do the same without fail.

It was a feast to my eyes. Visit this Swamiji, who is very simple and

ever smiling, and gives equal importance to both traditional and

modern values to prevent erosion of our religious faith amongst

present day youngsters.
