Om Namah Sivaya Sivan, Murugan (Lord Skanda) , Kannan (Lord Krishna), Ayyapan, etc, in which 'an' is a Tamil suffix for masculine gender. However, Sivam does not have a gender because it is the core of ever living beings. When we view Lord Siva in His highest aspect, i.e far beyond dual nature, we refer Lord Siva as Sivam. Therefore, we say Sivan when see Him as a Male, but Sivam when we refer Him as the all pervading Universal Soul (Paramatma / Satchidananda). Om Namah Sivaya

Just to add to what Selva ji has said. In the Mandukya upanishad,

Atman (Brahman) is described as - Shivam (auspicious), Shantam

(peaceful) and advaitum (non-dual).
