Let's brighten up the whole world;

And celebrate the pious festival of lights.

With rockets zooming and sparklers he handles;

 

Pretty faces glowing behind diyas n candles;

Let truth triumph over untruth; let's not forget;

Sinners will suffer and their deeds they'll regret.

It is difficult to focus when the sea's rough and wind's in force;

 

But honesty and resilience will still stick to their course.

And keep fighting tooth, nail and bone;

 

'Coz moss never appears around a rolling stone.

Let us pray for the helpless souls who have perished in various calamities (both manmade and natural). Let the lamps we light today in their honour praying for Divine Bliss, give peace to their souls also.

 

May Justice be done to the millions of suffering humans around the world. May the rich among us get the right intention to reduce unwanted luxuries and offer that to our unfortuante brethen.

 

May Divine Grace make us all happy now and forever.
