Guest guest
dear shivbhakt shailendra om namo bhagawate rudraya one reason why i start all my messages with " om namo bhagawate rudraya " is because it is not only the beginning verse of the rudram (namakam) but is also a great mantra in itself. the observation of a righteous person facing material hardships and enduring it too, is only because he is finishing all the punishments for his past sins and the realised soul in him is hurrying to get liberated aka salvation. happiness and misery, suffering and joy are all states of mind related to the body and the soul or god (shiva) within has no bearing or affect on these. an unrealised person under maya feels that the comforts and happiness to the outward body are the gifts of god and the sufferings as sins and curses. however, the realised person sees the shiva in himself and by taking refuge at the lotus feet of lord shiva and praying to lord shiva, the native is only seeking lord shiva to aim his arrows at the maya clouded on him and get him closer to lord shiva where lord shiva's arrows do not harm the native as he is as close to shiva as shiva himself. however, for a self realised or enlightened person, the comforts of body and the states of mind are maya and such divine soul is only interested in aligning and merging with the shiva in him and experience the eternal bliss. if you read viveka choodamani and atmabodha of adi shankara, you would get more understanding of the body, mind and soul and the shiva within. with best wishes and blessings pandit arjun www.rudraksharemedy.com , " bhatnagar_shailendra " <bhatnagar_shailendra wrote: > > [sri Selva said] > A sincere devotee will suffer a lot, because he is hurrying up in > the spiritual march. In the DeviSooktam, it is said that Devi is present in all beings as bhranti roop ( " bhranti roopena samasthita " ). In Gita Chapter 7, Bhagavan says that this maya is very difficult to cross " mam maya duratyaya ... " . Some suffering is a must for inner growth - without suffering a person does not make much progress but maybe there are some who don't suffer in the sadhana. with respects and regards, Shailendra
