Guest guest
OM Namah Shivaya Namaste, I have a doubt. Prana refers to life force and also the 5 pranas in the body - prana, apana, udana, samana and vyayana. It is said in the Veda that Prana came from the supreme Purusha. So is the deha(body), indriyana (5 senses) and manas (mind) functioning because of Prana or Atman(Purusha) ? Consciousness is said to be Brahman. How is consciousness different from Prana ? Is the body alive due to Prana shakti or due to Atman or due to both ? Is it accurate to say that Prana is the link between Atman and shareer. That is why, prana vayu can be employed to calm and cleanse the mind and sukshma shareer. Please share your understanding. thanks, Shailendra
Guest guest
SRI MAATRE NAMAHAA JAI GURUDEVA DATTA Dear sir, Namaste. Regarding your postings I want to say this. ATMA is eternal and it is SUPREAM. It is not depended on Vaayu like Prana etc., In this context Sri Aadisankaraacharya slokas about ATMA shall be remembered. One sloka about ATMA. " Naaham dehaha nendriyaanyantarangaha naahamkaaro praanavargo nabudhhihi daaraapatya kshetra vittadi dooraha saakshee nityam pratyagaatmaa sivoham " " I am not 'DEHAM'(phisical body), I am not 'Indriyahas' (gnanendriya and karmendriya), I am not ANTARANGAM(mind). I am not PRANA VARAGAHA (Prana, Apaana, Vyana, Udaana and Samaana). I am not Budhhi( decissive taken part in mind). I am not connected with wife/husband, children, land and money. I am the only SAAKSHI (observer) and 'Pratyagaatmaa'(supreme soul) and I am SIVA " The PRANA exists in phisical body when ATMA exists in it. If ATMA left the body the PRANA also leaves the body automatically The existence of ATMA in phisical body is discribed in MANTRAPUSHPA in detail which shall be rendered at the end of every PUJA by vedic pandits. To find out ATMA the specific vision (ANTARDRUSHTI)and Yoga path are essential as mentiond in my article MANDALA BRHMANOPANISHAT. To find out the ATMA several saints and rushis are strugglling hard for long periods and few of them may succeded in their attempts.
